Nannau was used as an officer’s neurological hospital during WWI. These hospitals were used for short-term treatment lasting months, rather than extended treatment lasting for years. Nannau was chosen due to it’s quiet location and private grounds. READ MORE HERE…

Maria Nest Jones Bradly, née Davies (1897-1983) was a VAD (Voluntary Aid Detachment) at Nannau from 5th March 1918 to April 1919. When she left Nannau, she was presented with an album containing photographs of the various nurses and patients. READ MORE…
