Manuscript book of Cookery & Medicinal Receipts, 17th and 18th Century Numerous receipts, on 82-pages narrow folio, including “the Corsygedol way to pickle mushrooms,” “to make Ringgo Ale,” “Carmarthen Shrub,” “to make Marmalett of Quinch,” “a Plaster for the Worms Lady Bagett,” “to make Snaill Water,” etc.

19th Century cloth; binding worn. With loosely inserted, an offprint from the Journal of the Merioneth Historical & Record Society 1964, being an interesting 6-page article by Mary Vaughan, tracing the history of this MS and it’s association with various members of the Vaughan family.
