AA silver mounted bamboo walking stick, with stag’s horn grip, enclosing an equestrian brass and boxwood rule to measure 17 hands, inscribed ”J.V., October 22nd 1913”, hallmarked London 1913, the lower shaft bound, 37.5 inches (95cm) long; together with a riot stick in leather scabbard, inscribed ”Presented to Major General John Vaughan by the Inspector Sergeants and Constables of the Special Mounted Constabulary May 1926”, 37 inches (94cm) long (2).
