A naive oil painting, depicting Sir Robert Williames Vaughan (1768-1843), standing in an open doorway with a faithful hound at his feet conversing with a young boy, the youth standing nervously with his hand on top of his head and holding a brace of pheasants, on canvas laid down on oak board, unsigned, indistinctly inscribed in pencil to reverse, 9.5 inches x 6.5 inches (24cm x 16.5cm), minor old restoration, early 19th Century, gilt gesso mounted frame.
